As the need for additional energy supplies grows, there has been a shift in focus. Instead of building new generating facilities, there is more of a focus on conservation and changing consumers’ consumption patterns. This has led to new opportunities in the areas of energy efficiency program design, impact analysis, and independent verification of savings. GSM has capitalized on this opportunities, currently working on a multi-year contract as a subcontractor on a project where we are verifying EE program savings for the Missouri Public Service Commission. Additionally, GSM has performed weatherization audits which verified the implementation of weatherization measures taken to improve the air tightness of single-family homes.

GSM provides a wide range of industrial supplies used by utilities both in day to day operations and in building capital projects.  Our products are competitively priced and our goal is to ship product directly from manufacturer to the end-user, minimizing material handling costs and our contribution to greenhouse gases.  In instances where drop shipping is not an options, GSM has access to warehouse facilities nationwide which can be used selectively for products sure to turn within a 60 or 90 day period.  Clients in this sector include Laclede Gas Company, Memphis Light Gas and Water, Georgia Power Company, City Utilities of Springfield, among others.

GSM offers project management and oversight for facets of complex projects.  GSM uses internal resources to meet these needs with personnel highly experienced in large project oversight and PMP certified.  Access to external resources can be leveraged through strategic alliance resources of our industry partners nationwide.  This allows us to extend our capabilities to include engineering services support, design services support, material staging expertise, material handling and logistics services among others.  Previous clients include Siemens Westinghouse, Calpine, TVA, and AEP.
